Space Camp Scheduled

Dear Parents & Students,
      I am just so sorry that nothing could be worked out to reschedule us.  I know that sounds so weak, but it was out of my control and really out of the control of Space Camp as all of their weeks were already booked.  There was just no way to fit us in.
      I am trying to look at the positive in all of this.  We are all ALIVE to be able to feel bad about this. We did not lose our homes or our lives as a result of the tornadoes.  Let's be thankful for that.
      I hope that you might consider scheduling to go at some other time yourselves.

Rescheduling Space Camp

Parents & Students,

      I am so sorry that our Space Camp experience has been postponed.  I hope that it can be rescheduled.  We will have to wait and see what can be worked out.  

      Please pray for all of those who have been affected by this awful set of tornadoes that ravaged our state.  If missing Space Camp is our biggest worry, let us all be thankful.

It's Easter Sunday evening and I can't help looking forward one week.  I keep thinking of everything that I need to make sure has been done this week to be sure that our group is ready for our big trip to Space Camp.  I hope that you are ready.  I will start packing soon.  Have you gotten your things together yet?

Wow- 1 week.  I can't wait. :-)

Are you getting ready? 12 Days and counting down

OK - Are you getting ready?  Have you gotten your packing list and started setting out all of those clothes that you want to pack?  Have you tried to see if you really can get one day's outfit in a 2 gallon ziplock bag?  I showed this to the children at our meeting as a way for them to be able to pack in less space and to help them keep up with their clothing. 
I suggest about $5 per day for snack money.  Other money for souvenirs can be put on the wristbands offered by Space Camp to be used at the gift shop.  This will allow students to carry less actual cash and hopefully keep up with their money better.

Student Meeting - April 7

So... this is the site where I will tell you what we are up to at Space Camp.  I will post something each day and try to include pictures so that you can see what your child/children are doing.  

Be sure that they attend the Student Meeting after school on April 7.  It will be held in Ms. Gruver's classroom.

This is intended to be just for the campers as I want them to hear about some information about camp directly from me.  I will be sending home with them a list of "What to Pack", information on Gift Cards to be used at camp, and a form to be filled out and returned to me that includes transportation permission and information about who will be picking them up from camp.

I'm looking forward to our trip.
